Dear Ninepin bowling community!

This year’s World Skittles Championship has come to an end with the men’s and women’s finals in the Single Classic event. For KV Schwaz, this marks the conclusion of a gruelling yet thrilling, eventful and emotional chapter. It is time to take stock and say thank you.

We would like to thank:

Jens Wallraf and his team from Pauly und Kamenz, who always ensured the best possible conditions for the competition and made it possible for the athletes to achieve their best performances.

Hannes Kirchberger (Honei-Film), who covered our live stream over a three-week period, and C + M, who provided the professional streaming service, as well as Helmut Werth for hosting the celebrations and Roland Albrich, whose commentary during the live stream has now achieved cult status within the German-speaking skittles community.

We would like to thank TV Schwaz 1857, KC Rofan and KC Montanwerke Kramsach, as well as all the other volunteers who gave up so many of their hours, and the entire KV-Schwaz family, who swapped their homes for the bowling alley for several weeks; without their selfless and voluntary help, an event of this scale could not have been organised.

We would particularly like to thank the athletes, who put on a fantastic and fair display of competition throughout the European and World Championships and provided a real spectacle of skittles. We hope that we were good hosts and that they were able to enjoy these World Championships.

Last but not least, we would like to thank the many fans who travelled here and created a fantastic, lively atmosphere at all the events over the course of three weeks, whilst always behaving fairly and impartially towards the bowlers and the hosts. We will take this atmosphere with us, and it will remain a lasting memory.
